How to Cook Asian Snacks?

Rice, spices, chilies, and soy sauce are some common ingredients you’ll find in Asain snacks. Many Asian snacks have an element of heat and spiciness to them. You can include some Asian snacks in trail mixes for added crunchiness and flavor.

Oriental Rice Crackers

Oriental rice crackers are easy to make. For simple rice crackers, you need 3 cups of rice. Leftover rice is frequently used to make crackers. Have the rice at room temperature before blending with 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil and a pinch of salt. Blend these three ingredients until they reach the texture of dough.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out about 1/2 TBSP. of dough and form it into a ball. Place the ball on the tray. Once all the dough is used, cover the balls on the tray with another sheet of parchment paper then flatten each ball with your fingers or a rolling pin. Remove the top piece of paper and bake for 20 minutes or until the crackers are light brown and crispy. Cool the crackers before storing them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

Wasabi Peas

To prepare homemade Wasabi peas, you’ll need to dry the peas in a dehydrator or oven. After you’ve dried the peas, pour them into a bowl and cover with a mixture made from the following ingredients:

1/4 cup wasabi paste, 2 tsp. Pure Wasabi powder, 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar, 1 tsp. water, and 1 tsp. cornstarch. Put the peas on a baking sheet and bake for 10 -20 minutes or until the peas are crispy. Cool and store in an air-tight container.

Roasted Green Peas

Roasted Green Peas are well-liked by kids and adults. It only takes 3 ingredients and about 40 minutes to have this tasty snack ready to enjoy.

You’ll need to thaw a pack of frozen green peas and pat them dry. Then put them in a bowl and add 1 tsp. of olive oil and 1 tsp. of garlic salt and mix until peas are well-coated. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread peas on the paper. Bake for 30 minutes or until peas are crunchy. Cool before serving.
